What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

I see the B2 has been getting some bad press lately, I like my original even though the top is now all
leather patches on top of the sheepskin which has gradually split over the years. If you want to see a real ugly WW2 hat (IMO) what about this British version which looks like a mutant Sherlock Holmes deer stalker". It is real sheepskin for ear flaps, on top of heavy materiel and as you can see a bill very much like a B2.
Anyone any idea what it is ? I seem to recall years ago being told it was Commando maybe for Norwegian campaign....has teh WD with arrow stamped inside with 436. Has a strange hook and eye secured lining which is sewn to peak so doesn't really remove. I picked it up around 1970 in one of the old army surplus stores, never worn it myself, it's too ugly for me...but it's unissued NOS by teh look of it.

It is a WW2 British Mountain Cap. You can still find them on Ebay or Military Surplus stores etc. Never seen one with the fleece and probably someone attached this later...

Off to the hospital today for another chemo session, now back home coping with the onset of the side effects. For this little expedition out in sub zero temperatures I wore my tweed shooting coat by Hucklecote, that is part of a six piece game shooting outfit that I've had for nearly 30 years.

Why? Because I don't always want to wear a flight or other vintage jacket.

It did the job as far as my top half was concerned! In all fairness I would have benefited from a pair of sheepskin trousers, yer bog standard Levi’s weren’t really up to the job, but I can’t say a cold posterior has ever been something I’ve suffered from!
