An interesting aside is that Algha were a major supplier to the National Health Service until the market was deregulated in the '80's and they subsequently lost a lot of business. They managed to overcome this by rebranding and changing the trading name to Savile Row. As you found discovered Jeff the frames were / are popular with some well known individuals - but that's certainly NOT why I like them. I don't like is ostentatious bling, frames like this are the antithesis of that, I simply appreciate traditional craftsmanship and timeless design as the latter usually means it has reached the peak of development and are therefore as good as they can get
