What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

Braved the -11c and blowing snow in the noble house b3 for a little Christmas shopping
First time ever in recent memory that in December I’ve enjoyed the west Edmonton mall
COVID has made it basically empty, I could have driven a bus at full city speeds safely
But nevertheless I had on a new three layer mask I sewed up.

Hey Mulceber, Could you tell me more about the cap your wearing? I don't know much about them but I would like to get one. Thanks.

Happy to, as I’m quite a fan of that cap. It’s made by a company called hat people in Oregon. I’m not sure if they offer that exact pattern of fabric any more, but they have a bunch of similar ones. The thing I like about this company is that the bill of the cap isn’t rigid. It probably isn’t accurate to early 20th century newsboy caps, but it means that the cap is much more comfortable. Most of the time I forget I’m wearing it.

Mild and sunny today. Despite not feeling great I felt I needed to get out so thought I would try taking a drive around the old airfield out the back here. The site has long history going back centuries, the airfield was used by several top secret projects during WW2.

I'm wearing an ELC RW B-3 apparently from hides especially selected by Gary in return for work by the original owner who I purchased it from. It had only been worn on a few occasions. Having lost lots of weight recently the jacket hangs on me now ....but won't be going anywhere.

I'm standing in front of an original T2 hangar. History was made here.

Back home now and very, very tired.

I think the fit is bang on Steve. Your weight loss has gotten rid of that middle podge that usually strains to escape the jacket on blokes our ago. WW2 kids never had that.
BTW, my active military base still has 6 T2 hangars all in use. Not bad for “built for the duration of hostilities only” ....... i feel a thread on old WW2 architecture coming on
