I do not think you have strange eyes. Like originals it may depend on who cut and stitched the flaps.

wasn`t that cold today so I have been wearing a B10 repop which is I think from "Quartermaster" together with BIB`s from "Pike Brothers" - patch was sewn to the jacket by myself

the B10 is pretty short in the body so I usually wear them with BIBs only

It’s been colder than a well digger’s ass since before Christmas and I’ve been wearing everything from an ATF N-1 to a Reed N-3A. Today, the temperature rose above freezing for the first time in recent memory, and I happily shed my outerwear. Here I am...on my way to the post office...blatantly wearing no gloves, no skull cap and no heavy coat. Only a Woolrich shirt and a vintage Stetson.

The recent Monarchs have a more pointed pocket flap like originals. When ELC first released their monarch they were criticised over the shape of the pocket flaps. Here is mine from 2016.

Thanks, Andrew. I thought that they have changed something but I did not have any samples to compare. I like the newer pocket flap better!

Thanks Andrew, these two pictures are from acme depot and I believe show a slightly more rounded pocket flap. So both would be correct.

There was variation in the shape of the pocket flaps.The last picture is closest to the current ELC pocket flap design.

I've pretty much made my mind up now that my next A-2 needs to be a ELC Monarch. Thanks Mark, Steve and Andrew, your pics have convinced me!

It is a comfortable A-2 to wear Tim. I added an original Talon slider and painted it and the zip track brown as per originals.

The top pic of Andrews post show the difference in the pocket flaps on one jacket..as I look at it on a phone the left side looks slightly more pointy than the more rounded one on the opposite side
