Love Felix patch!
Tell you what I noticed about that B-10, something that you may notice in my photos, the sleeve lining is somewhat too long which causes it to bunch up around the lower portion of the shell and cuff when worn. I'm going to pull the lining up from the cuffs and put a couple of tack stiches in at the elbow to suspend it at that point.
I was out in the vinyards this morning, it's bud break time and there's need for vine training. Returning for lunch I found an old friend stowed away in the old travel bag. A Gibson&Barnes M-422A I got off the sales rack years ago, hence the WW2 VF-3 FELIX patch with the nametag of Major Floyd B. Parks, USMC, VMF 221, of Battle for Midway distinction. None of my doing, but I will not bother to change it. Underneath an even older sweatshirt from when Miramar was still (I mean intermittently) a Naval Air Station. Gloves are ELC Navy Flyers Gloves.

Thomas, awesome! Which size is your Bob Dong, please? I am really unsure about overseas sizes. I kinda know how BR fits, not BD, though. What was your mil store in SD? And: I came too late for Josh. Found him 2015 but got sidetracked... now I am whining and mourning. Such great work! Lovely jacket, wunderbar. Congrats. Markusnot today (tto warm today) but yesterdays choice before noon:
37J1 - you guessed it already - made by BOB DONG along with Surplus USN chambray and some bell bottoms also USN Surplus from a mil-store in San Diego - 1980ies Version with Zipper rather than Buttons
finally some RWs IRON RANGER
markings on the jacket where made by "JOSH's FLIGHTJACKETS" - a FB pal which is no longer active in jacket markings (as far as i know)
Thanks, apparently it is still available. http://www.gibson-barnes.com/prod-294358/Vf3-Fighter-Squadron-3-Embroidered-Felt-Patch.htmlthat's one awesome jacket

Unglaublich, Thomas, that's really overwhelming. Indeed they fit fine, each in its own right. I may be wrong but I always went for the more crisper cut close to the body, because "my copilot" told me early that guys usually wear at least 1 size too large. Now, I am not a small guy, and maybe it'll be good to "give more room" now. So I can see your photos to judge noch, the larger and the smaller, are actually quite fine. You have a grand style. As to Josh, I just think he is awsome at creating the human appearance on his jacket work. I've always wanted a pinup painted but then I was never able to decide which jacket and what motiv on it. Luxury Problems I know. As for Ties, I have witnessed his talent here. What a bunch of enthusiasts. Makes isolation bearable. ))Markus,
i got 2 of those 37J1 from BD - both in size 44 and both are about 1 size different from each other. The i'm wearing on the pics is off a pretty early production run with the USN stencil on the chest and a USN leather-nametag. 2nd one i own came without any markings and is smaller - both jackets fit fine anyway ...
Yeah - i got some stuff made by Josh but all "deals" where based on trades so i didn't had to pay the relatively high standard-Prices he usually has - very creative anyway - if you Need some stuff on your jackets get in touch with TIES (FB Name: TIES PATCHART) he did the smaller ones of the 37 i own ...
I do not remember the Name of the shop in SD - been there are couple of times - mostly as a stopover when i came through from Tijuana to California and mostly stayed 1 night only. Awesome City - well i expect you have been there already anyway?
Attached pics of the other 37J1 - again labeled with the same sizetag 44 but smaller than the JOSH one - markings and stencils done by TIES
Hahaha, that was a good one! Thanks Markus, keep safe!Jorge, that's a great and comfy looking jacket. And while I am not a patrol community fan boy (friendly ribbing) it is a very cool patch. Hey, PBR, should be called champaign)). Nice. Markus
What was the temperature there today?
