We have 2 degrees Celsius and horizontal sleet and hail here. My plan for either of the sheepskins went out the window. Unflattering layers of polyester in the form of Swandri and Paramo.

I misunderstood the gist of this thread. Now that i understand that it means one should post a selfy EVERY day of oneself in the same jacket (or two at most) and with a local weather forecast and description of what one is up to, best i get selfying. Of course, bring England, i’ll be reporting rain EVERY day

Love this , love the collar,,doesn’t feel like I’m wearing a suit of armour,not so sure about the hookless zip though.this jacket was clearly unworn so hopefully it will get easier with use,have used zip lube and it’s running smoother I’m just being doubly careful getting it properly connected.chuffed to bits .

Thank you,I’m delighted with it,I’m also happy as I was worried after hearing that It would be a Japanese size 44,and possibly be snug on me.This isn’t the case and I have been wearing it paired with my Arthur Beale rollneck and it’s extremely comfortable and doing a great job of keeping storm ciara at bay,

well since I travel a lot not as a tourist but for business I saw and still see and experience a lot and really I’m happy to be born in the western world with so much safety and luxury compared to so many countries I visited before ...

i think a lot more people should take this motto for themselves

Kia kaha (literally be strong but its connotation goes much deeper) is another very popular one back home and usually used in times of profound trouble and strife. It has a very, very long history and is an affirmation to stand tall and carry on no matter what. It carries great significance and resonance for Kiwis. It's extremely strengthening and comforting to be told it by another one of your countrymen when everything has gone seriously tits up.
