Kia māhaki
It's Maori from NZ Thomas. It means "be humble".
i been thinking the exact same funny enoughI misunderstood the gist of this thread. Now that i understand that it means one should post a selfy EVERY day of oneself in the same jacket (or two at most) and with a local weather forecast and description of what one is up to, best i get selfying. Of course, bring England, i’ll be reporting rain EVERY day
That’s nice ,I glad to see u got yourself what u wanted so hope it’s all goodView attachment 31691View attachment 31690View attachment 31689
Love this , love the collar,,doesn’t feel like I’m wearing a suit of armour, not so sure about the hookless zip though.this jacket was clearly unworn so hopefully it will get easier with use, have used zip lube and it’s running smoother I’m just being doubly careful getting it properly connected.chuffed to bits .
And perfect for this weather that’s just started,,ffs
Thank you,I’m delighted with it,I’m also happy as I was worried after hearing that It would be a Japanese size 44,and possibly be snug on me.This isn’t the case and I have been wearing it paired with my Arthur Beale rollneck and it’s extremely comfortable and doing a great job of keeping storm ciara at bay,That’s nice ,I glad to see u got yourself what u wanted so hope it’s all good
Jacket Looks awesome but i have a different question:
always wondered what this means:
Kia māhaki
Tied to passing on knowledge, educating and helping others. Ever since David passed it has been my motto as a soldier, instructor and mentor.
Thanks for asking! Made my night.
“be humble”
well since I travel a lot not as a tourist but for business I saw and still see and experience a lot and really I’m happy to be born in the western world with so much safety and luxury compared to so many countries I visited before ...
i think a lot more people should take this motto for themselves
Looks very nice.... and we forgive youPolden Sheepskins RAF style jacket today. Okay it's got pockets but it's long been treasured and enjoyed when the cold weather allows. And I didn't know any better View attachment 31824
U pull that duffle coat off Thomas ... my mum gave me very similar oncefreshly back from South Africa so 8° C feel like minus 20
no jacket but some other "classic" garment (Okay - the Color ain't really classic ...)
Duffel Coat along with the Thedi-Cafe Racer in HH underneath - some 501 Levis and my beloved harness boots
