As I was also looking into a Tank Jacket already, I found the measurments at HPA quite useful...
While a 44 should fit even if you usually take a 46, length could be a problem - That baby seems to be a little on the short side ...

It is a bit short at 25.5 ... too bad.

I'm a bit short myself. Too bad I'm afraid for an easy fit. My sleeves need to be 23 inches at the most, so I find it hard to find off the shelf. Older jackets tend to be more short as so were people generations ago generally. Took the 1944 Irvin original out of the drawer to have a look. Seems to be doing ok. The weather outside is not really Irvin weather here on the west coast. Of course that's what makes it stupid expensive to live here. I might move east in the future since it's a lot cheaper. But it's

colder so I might need the Irvin at that point.

Thanks. Fits well. Great shell leather. Devon fleece inside. All around good jacket. Was trying to find a good condition WW2 Irvin and I found one. Might be harder for larger people than me I'm not sure. Hanging on to this one.

Don’t blame you. WWII jackets in that condition have become almost non existent anymore . They are far and few in between .
At our age they go into private collections and they don’t come out again for 10 or 15 years .
