I call them “totally uncomfy Birkenstock crap” and I wear ‘em only coz they are a gift from my wife - but pretend that I deeply in love with them … - and because they kind of fit into that “pirate/caribic/woodstock theme” …

Still have mine , a gift too , from my beloved . Don't know where they're stored , only worn one time , enough to réalise that Jesus foot and my feet are no friends ! The Rough wear seems cool ! Beautiful Art in the back . Br denims are great .
