As always, great outfit Thomas, but riding your bike like that is going to cost you money here in Belgium.
Shoes need to cover your ancles. Silly rule as high sneakers are also shred to bits when you hit the asphalt.
So beware if you plan to cross the border.

I second that. Detroits up to the 90s, the later ones are longer in the body and the current one with the drop tail isn't a detroit anymore by all means. I prefer the 80s versions, grabbed a few from etsy some time ago.

Second that: those later versions are not Detroits anymore.

I'm currently looking for another one in size 44 just to have one in spare but the prices on EBAY are meanwhile kinda crazy ...

It's no secret that I was disappointed with my A-2 5star: leather too rustic and too thick, even after my treatments to improve I already knew that I was only going to wear it on a motorcycle, as protective clothing .
And then a pilot friend calls me to show me his new plane, and complains about the cold while flying, but doesn't want to wear modern textiles like a ski suit for example.
As he is a true friend I immediately had the idea of giving him my 5star, which would be perfect for the job!
And that's a good recycling :)

Nice gift to a friend!
Over ten years ago I gave an Eastman Werber A-2 to a good friend who works as a bouncer and tattoo artist in NYC.
Needless to say he's given it a ton of love over the years and it's looking the part. For those that have bashed Eastman knits, here's an example to the contrary how they hold up.

Sick bike! When my pop came home from flying in the Korean War and French Indochina he went out and bought this used Harley and rode it like a maniac from what I hear.
He was only 23 in this photo and already seen so much.

That’s a killer Harley … looks like about a 47 or 48 Springer with side shift . Today that beauty would be worth about $45,000 or more in that condition . Your dad was definitely a bad ass cool dude. In another life I knew a few guys who flew for Air America. All of them were no bullshit guys who could drink or fight at the drop of a hat .
Great people and real patriots .
