ELC w/ a mechanic sweater for today
a pic of the vest
For some odd reason, the specs of the C-2 referred to it as a vest. I bought a Willis & Geiger repro C-2 many years ago and remember them referring to it as a "vest." Can't answer why.Vest? You mean sweater right? Would you be able to compare the BR C-2 against the Bronson C-2 Repro?
Yeah, realistically it's a sweater (zipper cardigan?), but the AAF called it a vest, so...

ATF and WW2 Impressions.Who else is currently producing a repro Jeep sweater?
Don’t bother with a repro. The US army has kept on buying them up to the present day. The only thing that’s changed is they switched to acrylic yarn in the ‘80s or ‘90s. You still get wool originals on eBay for under $40.This? Oo it looks very tempting for the price, only %20 acrylic. Who else is currently producing a repro Jeep sweater?
US Army High Neck Wool Sweater - Olive
US ARMY high neck sweater introduced in 1942, used in World War II and the Korean War, and used through the 1970s. It was often worn under a field jacket or Mackinac coat, also known as a Jeep sweater, to give soldiers enough warmth against the cold.bronsonshop.com
