Hovering around 0 F / -18 C here. Last night I tried to go out wearing the B-15, and nope, too damn cold. So it’s time to break out the Skyline N-3B:

It’s all relative …. When I lived in Pittsburg Pa
You’d get 5 days of sub zero temps and then the next day it would be 33F and guys would be out in T shirts washing their cars.
Now I live in Florida and the first 65 F day you get and people are putting on Parkas with hoods …..
We're supposed to hit mid-30s next week -- Spring is here. ;)

My much used and abused Beaver of Bolton tweed and quilted shooting coat that I bought at a game fair some 25 years ago. I remember the day well as my son was still in a pushchair and we had a good friend, and 8th AF veteran staying with us. He, like me, was interested in hunting and keen to see what was on the market over here. That old coat just about fits still and has escaped being used in the dog bed on several occasions, in fact the leather trim has been unaffected by numerous cold water washes. Ideal wear for cutting and stacking in the log shed today.

What is all that blue stuff in the background? Can’t remember the last time I saw that.

I saw the sun for the first time in a month today. It was nice to see it return, although it buggered off below the mountains after only a couple of minutes.
We’re supposed to see a bit this week but I’m not holding my breath. I don’t think we’ve seen it since well before Christmas. Still cold as a witch’s tit all week though.

We haven't seen it for a month not because of the weather, but because it disappears for a month below the horizon.
