Bret that jacket leather does not look like goat skin or am I wrong .The leather appears very smooth with out the pebble grain one normally sees in goatskin. It looks great on you by the way .

Thanks, I really like it... They got the pattern right. Decent knit... Its supposed to be goatskin, but I can't be 100% sure, (without laboratory tests 
). There certainly is grain, see my original review... Its soft and very comfortable for an A-2.
Its not like Eastman or GW's goat to be sure... Although the second incarnation is closer...

Greg, as original as they come from BR, I guess, all the patches were already on, this is one of their L-2 versions, with huge embroidery Japan style on the back...
