I've got an Eastman M422-A arriving in the post tomorrow. Excited! :D I'll probably need to return it for a longer custom size, but we'll see - they're a longer cut to begin with from memory.

You might not want to sell to this guy.

M422A is quite a long jacket by defolt, it usually fits better to tall men.

Yes - you're right. I remember the guys at the ELC popup telling me that they don't tend to sell as many of the USN jackets for that reason - I guess most average sized men think they look too long when compared to the image of a flight jacket in their head perhaps?

Finally, cool to fresh evenings, one finds great joy in the autumn up north. Rejoycing over the Buzz Rickson B-15C, size 42, unpatched...

It's M422A' feature, not all G-1's family jackets were such long as M422-A.

You sunglasses is Randolph Engineering?

Checked. Yes, the Frame says RE USA 14 on the left bayonet, Frame Italy on the right... they were issued, so I didn't care...

Oh, amend, I may have checked the wrong glasses. Those in the picture were old ones. I just checked the ones before me and they actually have a blueisch tint, plus no bayonet but regular rounded ends which go behind the ears. Also issued, in 2012 (shoulder shrug). Don't know. They work. I can see better:)

Yesterday's excellent MA-1's review from Greg, the right weather and my day off today pushed me to wear my MA-1 this thursday on walk.

This is Skyline Clothing Corporation MA-1 jacket, contract da-36-243-qm(ctm)-8922-c-61 from 1961 year. My lovely piece of early jet era :) very heavy sage-green nylon and warm thick wool/cotton lining. This is one of the first contracts with the orange liner.

My photographer and copilot for today ;)

Whats the Co-pilot wearing? Thats an awesome father-daughter pic Dmitry!
Thank you, Brett :)
Copilot wearing Alpha MA-1 Vintage series USA made in 1990s.
All my hope for her. The eldest son is already an adult and became a musician. Daughter still with me and she love flights and planes :)

Dmitry that‘s a real cool pic with your daughter!

Congrats

Thanks Thomas.

Brett, she is deeper in the subject than you think :)
We have familiar women not only co-pilots, but also captains 737 and 42/72. And their number in civil aviation is becoming more and more.

She flew with me several times (not on big birds of course), several times took her with me to the FFS session.
In general, this is probably not about the jackets - more for the pilot's VLJ thread :)

Was on Maldives on vacation once a long time ago ... yes, there super.
