What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

Way too warm for a jacket the last couple days, so just an original WWII USN chambray. This shirt is special to me because it was worn by a Photographers Mate who served on the Yorktown CV-5.

Preparing for a trip to Nepal to hike in the Himalayas I thought a pair of Bronson ‘69 jungle fatigue pants would be an ideal choice. I got it today, surprisingly heavy duty, fits quite baggy but spot on at the waist - and I’m a thin guy, so I guess it’s meant to be baggy? Sits at the belly button too. Very high rise. One size smaller was out of stock anyway, and it’s very comfy.

They are designed to be baggy to promote air flow which helps them dry quicker when they get wet. If you wash them I suggest not putting them in the dryer as they will shrink on you . Also if you’re hiking the Himalayas keep in mind that these are made for hot jungle environments and are not going to keep you warm at higher attitudes where the temperatures are colder.

They look perfect. Exactly as worn back in the day!

Storm Anthony has just passed through UK , unlike heatwave Southern Europe we seem to have gone straight into a chilly rainy Autumn so unless we get an Indian Summer it looks like it'll be the jackets from now until sheepskin time (is that good ? discuss....), anyway about to go out in my old generic A2 which I used to wear on the bikes , hence the badges. An old photo as can't be bothered to take another, would look just teh same
