I mentioned before that I don't grow my beard out because my wife thinks I look like Santa -- well, I grew it out mid-February to see how it looked... it's coming off this weekend. Just not right for me these days. I wish it was still red like it was back in the mid-90s. ;)
Used to grow mine every winter. I worked outside all night and it helped. Now I don’t go out unless I have to;)

It was initially a joy to go from the absolutely totally bald all over post chemo look to having whisker growth again - and it was weird how it came back not grey / white like it was but a fairly dark growth but that soon turned back into the old fella look you see here. Growth is way slower now though.
My wife is used to me having a variety of styles over the past 30+ years, clean shaven included. She prefers me with a trim beard so I am waiting for the hints, or rather nagging, to start soon!

My wife’s the same. Prefers a short crop beard. I think the less of my face she sees the happier she is;)

Yeah... have you seen Steven Seagal lately? :D

Trouble is, the hair on my head won't turn gray -- no matter my Irish heritage, so the beard just looks off

Amen to that Steve, congrats on being better also my Aunt had the C twice and beat it, my wife also after the years together she's seen all sorts of styles haha so even though big beards are traditional among some in Spain way before the hipster movement she hates that whole Ragnar Viking look :) oh and happy Saturday matey!

Blimy, I used to have ginger hair and beard, then all my facial hair fell out. Shite! I still dream that I have a moustache.

Confession, I tried this a couple of years back, lots of odd questioning looks from people I didn't see every day and when I stopped it went a weird nicotine yellow and had to be cut off, gawd knows what I was thinking but never again :D
That reminds me of a old boy in my youth who actually did have nicotine stains in his uncle Albert beard :D

Goodwear Cooper getting some wear today. Not sure why the Cooper A-2 isn’t very popular with repro collectors but it’s a damn comfortable pattern. Highly recommend it to anyone considering an A-2 from John.

Did you grab that one from the last batch? I was waffling between that Cooper and the Roughwear 1401 and thought the same thing, the dimensions looked like a very comfortable contract
