Cold and humid so I went for the original 1949 Sigmund Eisner AF33(038) 7385 N-2 for my sunday afternoon walk/pub...

I really like this new addition to the Nylon collection!

Wore this to the airport today. No one said a word, they know better than to ask. But the young cashier at Trader Joe's said it looked great. I asked her if it made my look like Tom Cruise. That's when I lost her.
I was watching The War Lover last week while sewing on the 8th patch. Why not do The Body for a patch?
And a wee nod to the late, lamented Vera Lynn, God bless her. Is the Barely British Corporation still refusing to broadcast Land of Hope and Glory at the end of the Proms?
I've been using an exacto blade to chip away at the printing on the shoulder and inside flap. It's actually more chipped away than it appears on camera.
The patches are darker than they appear, and the name plate only has a coat of light brown boot cream.
BTW, don't be afraid to age your MASH or Eastman name plates. They'll conform better to the wrinkles and ripples of your jackets.
Overnight freezing temps, and snow in parts of Los Angeles county. No baloney. Honest. My friend on Shropshire even heard about it. Lashing rain, blowing horizontally, again tomorrow and Tuesday.
I could use a shearling or Irvin right about now.
Cheers

Nice bit of hand stitching there Sir. As to the Beeb and the Proms I think, but am not sure, that they have seen sense but in many eyes the Corporation lost its way in recent years.
