What is your favorite A2 contract (or contracts)?

I was curious as to what is your favorite A2 contract (or contracts) and what makes it your favorite.

Bronco, Monarch & Dubows

Bronco - Unique pattern & detailing, the cut works well with my body type. Classic WW2 profile to my eye.
Monarch - No other A-2 like it. They made the A-2 their own. I love the lower neck line and the retro-esque collar.
Seem to be a couple of slightly different versions, although all under same contract. Easily seen in the pocket flap profiles.
All the top end makers, make a great Monarch, but they are not all the same. If it fits, it fits well.
Dubows - Again, unique pattern and features. I find Dubows very comfortable to wear in the correct size.

Rough Wear 27752: Perfection. I love all Rough Wears but with this last contract, it’s like they took everything they learned from previous contracts and hit it out the park.

Aero 16160: One of the sharpest A-2’s. It’s slightly different to the other Aeros and it has this presence to it.

Dubow 20960: Beautiful. Slightly different to the other Dubows with its crescent shape collar, it still retains the Dubow features - strong square shoulders and that natural drape through the body.

Jimmy Stewart's RW 1401 has always been my all time fav A-2.
Even after dozens of repros, I've never been able to get it right.

Monarch A-2, same as Chuck Yaeger wore.
John/GW is the only one who replicates it right and historically accurate and correct!

He made me a 1401 years ago. It was the best version I've had for sure, but the sleeves were too short.

Today, I would say Dubow. And the 1755 contract.
In fact, I like Dubow jackets because I appreciate the contrast between the dull purple knits and the leather. Both in seal brown and in russet.
The shape of the collar is elegant.
My experience with wearing them is limited to reproductions (size 50/52, of course), so I can’t really comment on the fit of original contract.

Even if my GW 1755 fit better than RW 1401P which is a bit tight on the forearms.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I forgot to add my favorites when I started the post. I like goat hide contracts with a trim-ish cut and no collar stands, so I have two right now:

Doniger - It works well with my frame and has such a unique angular appearance. I think the collar looks great after it is broken in. I also like how the shape of the pocket flaps seem to match the collar.

Bronco - It also works well with my frame and has the classic look when I think of A2s. Nicely squared up overall appearance to the contract. I also think the collar looks great after it is broken in.

If there was one more contract beyond what I’ve mentioned I could add, it would be a Bronco.

For me it would probably be the Rough Wear 1401-P. I actually like those three contracts: 1401-P through 1403-P: one manufacturer’s last contract (Werber), one’s first (Dubow), and one that’s just hitting their stride.

The kicker is I don’t own any of them - I just like ‘em!

Rough Wear 23380. Wouldn’t be able to discern it from the other RW contracts from afar (other than the unique label) but it’s the classic A-2 in my book. MacArthur.

Bronco is growing on me however.
