monkeyed with fried ostermann. replaced zipper, liner [i like it, hahaha], knits. also the back is showing some dried out or rotted hide.

It looks like a private HLB Corp jacket, having many of the features found on their 1937 contract A2, including the double row of stitching on the pocket flap, the bevelled pocket corners and collar stand. Why on earth was it relined using a 1960s wall paper pattern is beyond me!

yeah after taking the time to look at it more carefully, ive gotta agree with andrew, civy hlb. didnt know they were made of goat. that liner may be covering the original liner [maybe the label as well]. i have run into this a coupla times, and what a supprise to find a repairable original liner under a replacement.
