My warmest coat is a 1941 US 32oz melton wool overcoat, a close second is my 1943 US officers trench coat, will try to post pics of both soon
How does the liner look can we have the picture? My Aero Thunderbay in goat. This and my Buzz Rickson N-1 are my go-to jackets for this winter, with my Aero ANJ-4 on standby if it gets really cold.

Here you go, I went with black liner for some reason, must have made sense at the time. I got moleskin in the arms, which isn’t particularly clingy, not enough to bother me anyway. How does the liner look can we have the picture?

Love the camo on that. Is it an original or a repro as the white lining looks like it was made yesterday?Wehrmacht 1944 Sumpftarn pattern parka - a great bit of winter clobber to layer with and work outdoors in...
The warmest jacket I own is probably this beast, an RAF outer parka 'for flying personnel in extreme cold weather conditions'.

That’s a very nice looking example. These are worth an absolute fortune now though, so I’m not sure I could ever bring myself to wear it outside were I so lucky as to own one.

Through years of cold weather survival training , and dealing with the extreme cold weather Florida temperatures, I’ve learned that when those temperatures drop below
70 F/ 21C , layering is a must . So I choose to use this technique frequently down here using my BOB Sweater , my M-444 , and as a top layer my original WWII Royal Navy Duffle Coat.
OMG.... I’m losing my mind aren’t I . I’ve been shut in too long ... Somebody call for help !!
