It's an OK jacket but for just about the same price you could have picked up a military surplus issued US Air Force A2 and had an authentic A2 that would probably increase in value a little over the coming years.
But if that's what you like, then enjoy it.......

The velcro patch attachments kind of detract from the "vintage vibe" that attracts most folks here.

Golden Bear is just down the road from here (presumably named for my Alma Mater, UC Berkeley). I checked their website and no A-2 is listed. The current selection doesn't inspire. Anyway, I think your jacket looks pretty good. The pocket flaps are a little wierd, but the pocket placement looks OK. Is it horse/steer hide?

Golden Bear make decent jackets - saw my first GB A2 God knows how many years ago at a little shop in London that specialises in Ivy League and general US fashion - I've a GB 30's style (with collar) varsity/letterman I bought there probably 15/20yrs ago that is one fine jacket come the cold the winter months!

Than you! I think this is one of their old jackets...It appears to be steer hide..I think.. It's certainly comfortable and wears nicely...
