Lovely watch arrived today, gift from my Son, said he found it at a collector's fair up in North Yorkshire UK, I love the domed tank crystal strap is a original clip strap for fixed lugs watch is quite heavyish I guess that crystal adds a bit of weight

I read an article about this kind of watch, it was classic and popular design at the period.
It's a lovely watch, going to wear it with my more vintage stuff I think, it has blued hands, ceramic face, mechanical, simple and stylish
I can't because my son bought me it as a gift and sent to Madrid, I think it would be rude to ask him but yeah I love tank watches, especially the Stowa watches
Oh believe me I'm grateful, it was father's Day here in Spain past weekend probably the reason but I love both my sons

Ya there are some look alike quartz copies. No maintenance required. It does take money keeping a vintage watch running. I need to take my original in to get a spring fixed. It's 81 years old.

I love original watches. For non-work wear I'd really like an original Bulova A-11 sterling watch in as near to mint as I can find, but I struggle to find one I like. Something that looks 1940's contemporary and not 80 years old. On the other hand, for work I'd like a nice copy.

I think there’s some miscommunication here. @Spitfireace, Timeworn is a company that makes repro watches, among them the A-11. And it’s not a quartz watch. Stanier was asking if there were any opinions on it.
