The seller is using a lot of hyperbole in his listing, what kind of cat is a Vaught (sic) Corsair ? And when did the USAAF start flying these Cat-Family planes?

Classic cotton pilot jacket was mostly used by the
"Cat-Family"

(Wildcat, Hellcat, Bearcat and the Vaught Corsair) where pilots were mostly stationed in tropical areas where the original leather A2 would have been too warm
