This Cable contract was good enough for MacArthur. Here are some pics from the Korean War.

Sadly this jacket was stolen some time back, unlike his RW which was sold at auction.

I notice MacArthur liked his A-2s like his khaki chinos, loose-fitting. In pictures his chinos are baggy and often wrinkled. In war time they were probably worn long hours with no access to a clothes iron. I remember complaining to my dad years ago when I finished air force basic that we spent so much time shining our boots. I asked dad if he had to spend that much time on his boots in the Korean War. He said "Hell no. We were fighting on the front lines in mud and snow." When I heard dad talk about the war it left me no room to complain.

MacArthur liked a roomy A2, but I agree the sleeves are a little long.
