M51 field jacket , from Gizemo.
It is an expensive vision, a single jacket with out liner, cost as much as their Tanker, with wool blanket liner.
Its zip and outshell fabric were specially ordered.

It’s CONMAR zip:

What's your thoughts on the jacket Jan? After looking at Gizemo's catalog again, I'll humbly admit that I was way off base with my initial impression that their products were slightly better than Bronson at twice the price. Of the recent photos that I've been seeing, it looks like some pieces are very much in the neighborhood of BR. I considered ordering a B-10, but sadly, the sleeve length is incredibly short (23.2" sleeve with 18.5" shoulder width in size 40). The measurements on the B-15A are better, but I will more than likely pick-up a B-11 instead, if they are ever listed in my size on Parcel Up. Unfortunately the B-11 is currently OOS.

The short sleeves bother me as well on some jackets. Do they measure the underside instead of the topside? My N1 and the NAF were perfect, even for my long arms but the jungle jacket in L for example has has a sleeve measurement of only 61cms with a shoulder of 48cm - way too short for me

Hey Lucas, here are my very quick impressions:
  • The cotton shell is really nice, and if there’s one thing I’ve noticed with these Chinese brands (Bronson being the other one that comes to mind) it’s that they tend to have really good cotton products.
  • The liner is only 88% wool, which still has some of the itchy feel, but I think the synthetic content is still slightly noticeable. I wish they would have committed to 100% wool.
  • Waldes zippers are well made, but I almost wish they had gone with a cheap modern talon: those ones you can easily upgrade with a modern slider. Waldes zippers don’t have the Talon name on the zipper box though, so upgrading the zipper is harder for zipper nerds.
  • Asian sizing is definitely in play here. I ordered a 42, and it fits like a 44 in the chest and shoulders, but like a Western 42 in the sleeves. And the back length might even be like a Western 40. It’s a great option if you like a baggy wartime fit.
  • I notice it’s very generous in the belly and the waist knits are relatively loose. Having never handled another tanker, I don’t know if that’s standard. It’s still quite comfortable though.
Wearing it on its own, it’s a bit light weight, but warmer than an A-2. I wore it today with a C-2 sweater underneath and it’s nice and cozy.

They use American imported cotton.
On the final product, their fabric is both breath able and wind proof.
I already own five products from Gizemo, every individual item has its own fabric, even they are same type of fabric, their weight/ weaving patterns are various.
you paid your money for something.

Their B15 not on the same level of accuracy, as their B10

And , about sleeves, their dimension is very close to ELC’s B10.

Thanks for the info Jan. It looks like we'll need to pay close attention to the sleeve and body length measurements when ordering. I need to compare the B-10 measurements to my size 40 BR B-10 to see how they stack up.

@Shanghai-Mayne, aside from Gizmo's B-10, what other models do you feel have the best materials and pattern? BTW, thanks for sharing this brand and all of your knowledge about it with us.

Plus, it close, but not match their B11 (Based on my study on its various older vision)

Newest vision , is literally the newest one, released one day ago, no know review yet.
So, Think again , if you may find a good N3 series at US .
Just try to give you a clean pic.

Luke, for whatever reason, Gizemo measures the sleeve length of their B-10 *excuding* the kint.
I’ve asked the guys at ParcelUp to check the measurements of the B-10 I ordered (size 40), here they are:

Chest (pit to pit): 22,75” (58 cm)
Shoulder width: 18,5” (47 cm)
Sleeve length: 26” (66 cm)
Front length: 26,25” (67 cm)

I hope it helps!

Thanks for the info! That helps tremendously. I was hoping that the knits might be excluded, but didn't find anything mentioning it in the product description.

You haven't received your jacket yet, correct?

Is this the listing that you purchased from?
