Poughkeepsie, Dubow and Perry. The Perry in particular was in superb condition...but it was a 38.

IJA boots. If you've seen the Rose Anvil video where Weston cuts a pair in half, you know these were incredibly well-made:

And the classic Boondockers:

I picked up a Bulova A-17A for myself:

And an original A-3 cap:

There was a great set for sale of a pilot's effects, including two A-2 jackets and a brown C-2 sweater:

The downside is nearly every jacket I found was in small sizes. :( So far it's been like a hands-on museum for WW2 stuff - which is still really damn cool!

Meeting a WWII Ace. Still sharp as a razor, and lively! He described himself as just a kid who did his part, then added "can you imagine being 19 and being given the fastest plane in the world to play around in?" :D

The seller with the WW1 stuff had AWFUL prices! He had a shearling and moleskin coat that I have seen for sale in the past for $300-500 marked at $3000! A soldier's winter coat from WW1 priced the same as a WW1 American pilot's leather coat, can you believe it? That really bothered me on account of having been looking for one of those moleskin coats for a while now. I guess I will have to wait till someone has one for less than 4 figures!

I bet that sweater was overdyed.

Well … last year it was parachutes, this years big purchase …, original mint combat boots and Marine Corp boondockers … both in mint condition. Prices for originals were cheaper than ATF repros …. View attachment 183343View attachment 183345
Those M43 boots are great. I have a pair that look beat to hell but they just won't die. Half of a buckle strap is missing and yet they keep 'marching on'!
