Would you wear it to a wedding reception? Hypothetically speaking of course.Looks great!
You'll find they're super warm jackets, so it should get a lot of wear this winter.

Dany I have dot fasteners on my Buzz B15Lift-The-Dot fasteners.
Where are those? Isn't that the fastener used on cartridge belts and magazine pouches (canteen pouches)? Or do they use the term for others as well?Lift-The-Dot fasteners.
Yep, I believe so. Lift-the-dot fasteners on a B-15A are used on the earphone wire hold-down tabs near the armpit - at least normally. Mine just has ordinary ring snaps.Where are those? Okay, but as Jan says, they are not on his jacket. I only see the ring snaps he mentions. I'd be interested to see the "Lift the dot" fasteners used on a piece of clothing (presuming you can't call a cartridge belt a piece of "clothing").From the interweb:
''Lift the dot fasteners were first used to hold curtains back on horse drawn carriages. The military saw how strong and versatile these fasteners were and used them for satchel bags and gun holsters – where they are still used today.''
This one from Jorge has them:Okay, but as Jan says, they are not on his jacket. I only see the ring snaps he mentions. I'd be interested to see the "Lift the dot" fasteners used on a piece of clothing (presuming you can't call a cartridge belt a piece of "clothing").
Same, standard army issue for different equipment and clothingWhere are those? Isn't that the fastener used on cartridge belts and magazine pouches (canteen pouches)? Or do they use the term for others as well?
So, probably just like so much military equipment of the time -- use what we got! This one from Jorge has them:
