My wife bought me this, it came today, made in the 80's by a Spanish company Areitio, it was around from the 40's, doesn't exist now, I like the jacket, like Ralph Lauren etc they didn't make exact, it's almost the same except for the liner is orange like a M-A1 and it has a small sleeve zipper like the M-A1, apart from that, fur collar, knits, leather chest patches etc all the same :D it was a bargain I think at 30 euros, and vintage Spanish made, later would have been China.

Also it's nicely made but not a heavy weight, seems the Spanish made it for their spring or early summer nights, to wear in winter I'd need to wear a decent jersey underneath it which I've got

Nice looking jacket, I wouldnt hesitate buying one if I saw something like that in a store and was decently priced.
I have often wondered how such things get made. Perhaps some boss shows up at a meeting with a real B-15 and tells the staff to make one like it, them each person on the team decides to make their own changes?

I know it was strange, my wife saw it on a Spanish vintage site, she's Spanish and had never heard of the company and her friends who do reenactment wear military stuff had never heard of a Spanish style B15 being made haha, it was only after research that she found the company, started about 1940 making bags and furs, and finished late 80's, the seller told her was bought early 80's, it's true what you say though, some boss turns up and says what can you make of this haha, look at g Star, i own a near copy of a N1 deck jacket made in the 90's, by them, it's like a Chinese whisper, it's passed along and they decide for instance to add a orange lining which was very in fashion in the 80's anyway, I just told her, best 30 euros she spent :D definitely peaked her interest, Spanish made

Relevent question for you, I always seem to get them with long arms haha I'm assuming that in the military you would get what you get issued long arms or no yes?

Incidentally the company used their own logo on the brass zip pullers and not another company like ykk for example

You are quite correct. I have relatively long arms and have often had issues with purchased jackets fitting my reach, but I was not issued anything that was too short in the arms.
That said, I was an officer so I had to buy my own uniforms except for the extreme winter weather jacket (it was called the "bear suit" and I never wore it once other than to try it on when issued to me) and the Gore-tex two piece rain suit:

Same old eh for generations officers having to buy private purchase, British army and Jeeves springs to mind haha, I'll tell you a story about a old guy I met who said he was doing British national service in 1952, on the parade ground he was issued ridiculously long pants that he rolled under but they fell down, big sergeant comes up and shouts at him, you what's your name! Hunter sgt, hunter! You look like a feckin hunter haha NCO's eh haha
