The photos look like they could have been taken yesterday. A lot of WW2 photos look very much of their era, and it's hard to feel a more personal connection. These photos are great - lot of the faces of the people in the photos seem very contemporary, if that makes sense - they look like 'us', not just people in 68 year old photos.
