Hi John
What's mismatched on this beauty? From my point of view the panels are matching - only the hh-leather trims are more seal than russet (?)

Some of the other photos show a subtle variation in colour and shine.
Ask Vic he's the owner and expert.

hahaha, not such a long way between common interests, and friends. in my luddite way, i just never learned how to post pix. john thought that members might be interested in seeing how gary put the jac together using unmatched hides. i had sent some pix of a mint pre war werber red skin b-3, to gary, and asked if he could replicate the variations seen on the original. perhaps it is not as apparent in the pix of the elc jac, but the hide and color differences are there, making for eerily close to clone of an original pre war red skin. yes elc uses the repro crown, and yes rw contract b-3s used talon hershey bar zippers on their pre war b-3s. however, if it bugs me enough, i can swap out the zipper for a repro, or original talon. that or install an original aero, or hlb label, as they both used crown zippers.

Again the photos are being rotated when posted here, though they are the correct way up on my potobucket page. Can anyone explain what is happening ?

Somehow the images are now displayed correctly. Strange.
I agree Eastman make great B-3's though I hear from Gary that the seal skin used on the Perry is no longer available.
