The first one is my Perry Mixed I got late 2020, the second is a house ELC I purchased about 8 years ago. My mid section exceeded the comfort of the 42 so I had to up to a 44

ELC Monarch circa 2015 40L
Fit well, but I was uncomfortable when lifting arms, pulled too much.

And a very recent 42. This was a jacket I bought recently to gauge fit... Loved this jacket, slightly more caramel Havana brown (pics a bit bright/ orange, not so in real light)... Really nice (no longer in stock)... VERY TEMPTED to keep this! Watch this space.

The color of that Havana jacket looks pretty nice. Since it’s no longer available you just may want to hang onto that one for a while . Just a thought.

Yes, was tempted to keep it, but elected to get one with the regular Havana (and a touch of length added to the sleeves...)
Interestingly enough, this is one of the first A-2s Ive tried on that actually almost fits perfectly. Its just the pattern, when I lift my arms, the sleeves pull up a touch, so Ive added 0.5" to account for that and the usual creasing that I find develops after some wear.

Brett, you're a true jacket tester. Is there an A2 that you've never had, or at least haven't tried it on? By the way, this Monarch 2015 looks more like 42 than like 40 on you. Or were you 5 years ago even slimmer?
Its deceptive. The back of the jacket was a little trim, so it looks fine, but when I lifted my arms they pulled at the pits. I dont have the measurements of that jacket anymore, 17.5 shoulders I recall... but this last Monarch was very easy and comfy.
As I've mentioned many times, all my current/ recent jackets are seal, and Ive wanted a russet for a while. [that's why I let the other Dubow go to a new home - Kermit ;) ]
Platon's Dubow would be the obvious choice, but I know it'll come in a bit short for me.
BK next, and may still be what I'll do. I'd love a russet Dubow... Or Roughwear. Or Werber?
But ELC is down the road, easy to get a hold of, guys are great and easy to try a jacket.

Has anyone ever reviewed the Hartmann jacket by ELC ?
I didn't find anything in the research...
I'd like to see photos of details and fit pics :p
