I love it! You guys will always try and justify gun-ownership. It's just ridiculous for an average citizen to be allowed to own guns in an urban environment.

Your King George III wasn't happy about that either,...............

And thus............... You now have one of the reasons we broke off from England and formed the United States.
Funny how it just keeps on going back to 1776, the US Constitution of 1787 and the 2nd Amendment!

One point I'll make (I'm genuinely having a good-natured jab here) is that the a guy I work with, Ken, is from the US and always seems to bring up The American Revolution as a reason for us over here being grumpy or whatever. It's funny because many Brits have absolutely no idea when/what it even is. We've had a thousand (well maybe not quite) wars since then and I think it sort of got forgotten about when we had to give Napoleon a thorough whipping 40 years later. That faded memory was practically eradicated by WWI. In my history classes the American Revolution was about 3 minutes of a 40 minute lesson on whatever happened before we gave it to the Frenchies at Waterloo :D

And it is a glorious history you have. When you compare the U. K's history to the US's ......ours is a blink of the eye.
You (collectively) live in homes that are older than our country has been in existence. We have been and continue to be the greatest of Allies based on our common origin....England.
Long live the Queen and God Bless the United States for we are going thru difficult and saddened times.
