schott 684sm vs 184sm, better choice?

Hi,
I'm new on this forum. I want a leather jacket type G1 but i'm in France....
I tried a schott 184sm in a shop and it's a good choice but nothing else to try. Schott made in USA is around 1200€ in France..
I search a vintage schott on vinted or ebay.
What is the difference between 184sm and 684sm? same shape?

Do you have other solution for a good G1 modern (i'd like to have a removable collar, and a removable lining)?

If you want removable parts … you don’t want a G-1. There are commercial jackets that are far better suited to your needs.
Do you have some commercial jacket to recommend? I know only Schott 184sm.

Vintage schott can be a good alternative. Differnce between 184sm and 684?

You say that like it’s a problem…
We are a few of French here, and that doesn’t stop us from having G-1s and A-2s—we’re not doomed to buying Schott jackets.

The real question is, what exactly are you looking for? If you want a removable collar and lining, then you’re not looking for a G-1, but rather a leather jacket with a vaguely pilot-inspired design.

Yes a G1 modified.

The 184sm seems to be a good option.

My knowledge is lilited about the G1 or A2... I know i want a leather jacket with a removable collar.

Where can i search? 5stars, avi ? Schott? Cockpit usa seems to be fine?
