RMNZ Rough Wear. Sell as is or repair?

What do you think? It's got a separated seam in the liner...

...and one collar latch held on with those big old Tandy rivets.

Will the repairs add more value than they cost?

If it's just a separated seam with no tear, I'd set to with needle and thread.
A little time and patience and you're good to go.
I've also replaced a collar latch on an original Perry in the past with a latch supplied by John C.

The latch isn't the problem so much as the tube type rivets. I know of no place to get them or the tool required.

1/16" eyelets might do but might be available only in aluminum or brass. Steel would be stronger and is what was used, I'm sure. I have yet to research the actual parts.

Send a note to John Chapman at Goodwear. He would be able to help
you or at least get you going in the right direction.

John supplied the rivets and a source for the tool to apply them (reasonably priced).
I was able to make a reasonable job of the replacement so it wasn't particularly challenging.
Drop John a PM.

Leave John alone. You did a bang up job on that ELC early model A-1, you got the tools and the talent.

That's not talent, that's....jacket OCD....
Zoomer, I don't have the PM that John sent any longer (it was a US-based supplier and was only a few dollars).
I'll take a look in my tool box in the shed as I might still have packaging.

That's an easy fix.
BK can do it for free if you pay shipping costs.
If you think the jacket is worth it, repair it. Otherwise get new.

I'll be sewing up the liner by hand, probably with stronger thread than RM used...that stuff isn't even the right color.
Will also give JC a shout re the rivet tool...if you actually use the latches, it should come in handy. I've busted a few.
