Hi guys, got a bigger batch done, just been lacquered so tomorrow drilling and ringing, they'll be done then so ready to go out Thursday or Friday

Cheeky question on construction of these. If I was making them, I would be printing pre-weathered decals and fixing them to the pre-cut Alu plate and then sealing with lacquer or varnish. Is that what you're doing? Have to say they look v. convincing - well done.

It's exactly what I'm doing, only the laser printing once I'm done in Photoshop is on a already waterproof heavy adhesive vinyl, but I still lacquer them

To be fair Nick I used to make similar metal items using the same technique years ago in my ww2 group, I did a few dummy aviation clocks like this as well that looked just as good and hand finished the lume
