and now for another contender..........this is the the very first (Non Beacon) Aero made 1981 (original price was £75) and worn regularly by the original owner until 2013 . This is one of JC's earlier productions in Shinki HH and it's also my first A-2. Anyone wishes to take a guess on the pattern/contract?

I’d guess a Dubow.

Update: Haven't noticed its collar stand at first, so - it isn't Star. Burt is correct, it looks like Dubow.

You nailed it I think Burt. A dead ringer for my GW Dubow 20960 with collar stand, wide epaulets, and curvy pocket flaps. Another winning creation from John Chapman. Congrats Aeroga.

That is spot on! Dubow 20960, my favorite model 8 years ago and still my favorite now!
