no such thing as a lost world b-3 broken in. they come rock hard and never break in properly.
I think at the time of manufacture LW used the same tannery as Avirex who made a very similar jacket that I sold to JC. The sheepskin looks great but the HH is horrible.
Not even in the same league as the offerings from Eastman.

I think that would be right for most LW B3's. But this particular jacket is pretty broken in. I have seen the coat in person. Its a great piece. Very vintage looking.

I love my Lost Worlds B-3 one piece back has the sheepskin stamp in tiny gold letters still after 12 years and the horsehide is russet and mint-when i put the collar up and set the straps and buckles I am in my own fortress of warmth- In snow storms Iwear my black cashmere sweater under it and doesnt shed a bit-but sometimes that is too warm a tee shirt will suffice. Its not nice to knock LW jackets - I have 5--an Anj-4 -2 A-2's-seal and russet and a G1 all in my collection of 17 jackets-I have a few Averex G-8's in horsehide and a few US Authentic Jackets including an AN-J-3 that Shaul made special- I need to get more pics on here--Lets compliment all the current repro makers in the upper bracket for keeping the hobby alive-I feel that the diversity amongst the leather jacket types as well as the original manufactuers styles is one of the most fantastic hobbies of all-(all born from necessity of course and originally certainly not for pleasure) It reminds me of the diversity of all the body makers that built the early Ferrari's-Scagglieti-Vignale-Pinninfarina etc-Stuart deserves alotta credit-he is quoted in " Hell Bent for Leather" and is not just a maker but a collector and a Jacket expert as well. Nick-(the horsehide you say is horrible has to have been mistreated because LW horsehide is bullet proof)-Thank you all for listening and God Bless and Happy Holidays

LW can not be faulted for workmanship all their jackets are beautifully made. But to many people the look of the horsehide is not as nice as the Japanese hh JC uses or the Italian leather used by Eastman.
The sheepskin is superb though but if I remember correctly no longer available in the original form.
I have had 2 B-3's an Anj-4 and a B-2 so I am familiar with the brand. Heavy to the point of being unwearable.

I'm sure I could break it in with enough use. That Jacket in the above post is something I could really use in the New England winter. If anyone wants I will break your jacket in for free and return it when I am done.
