The British aviator Amy Johnson took off from Croydon Airport in a De havilland Gypsy Moth aircraft G- AAAH 'Jason'. She became the first woman to fly solo to Australia, arriving on 24th May.

A much better flying aircraft to the tiger. I had a model of her Gypsy moth as a kid.
