Hurricane replica on top of the roof of the Odeon Cinema in Lincoln in 1969 promoting the Battle of Britain film. The replica has since been restored and is now on display at the We'll Meet Again museum

USAAF Sergeant Stephen Dergo in front of his B-24 (sn 41-51128) with his own name writen in Russian «Товарищ» ("Comrade"). Stephen Durgo was a crew member of this plane and came up with the name because initially his family came from Russia. The bomber was part of the 579th Squadron of the 392nd Bombardment Group, was not shot down and returned to the United States in June 1945.

Italian Airforce WW2. Interesting B-15-like jackets the airmen are wearing.

Didnt the Italian airforce planes have reverse like their tanks?
No disrespect to any Italians on this site but having recently read about the North African campaign it rammed home many of rumour and jokes about their activity in WWII! Have to say by contrast to allied aircraft theirs were not particularly great looking machines!!!
