Questions about New G-1 Flight Jacket?

Hey all, new to the forum and leather jackets in general, but I picked up this jacket at a goodwill for $20 a few weeks ago and I've been trying to figure out as much as I can about it and hoped y'all could help. I'm mostly wondering how to care for it, what condition it's in, details about age and model, value, and just generally any tips you have for someone just getting into the hobby.
Here are some pictures of the jacket, thanks so much for any help!

Whoa! You got a rare 7823 B for nothing! Congrats! Other than getting it off that damn hanger, I wouldn't do a thing to it.
thanks! it's got a bunch of old sperry and hutchinson green stamps in it, so I'm assuming it got to goodwill straight from the original owners. Also, where should I store it, if hangers are not a good idea? and do you have any more info on this kind of jacket?

Lots'a good info worth searching for at VLJ.

Check all of the forums on the main listings, there's even a care & preservation section.

I use pool noodles cut to size over a wood hanger, a suggestion from Chandler here. Works great.
Can't take credit for that one. I have two sets (6 in all) of very robust, wide-shouldered wooden hangers I use on all my FJs. They seem to be working well for me so far.
