Pungent leather smell

My Five Star also just smells like leather. It was stronger when I got it, now after wearing it a few times it's considerably less. But it didn't and doesn't bother me.

Is it an A2 or A G-1 that seems to have them problem?

Did the bag/package smell on arrival? You mentioned the bag smell may have moved to the jacket.. Packaging may be a future consideration for our 'maker'.
