It’s actually a 1960 series 2 Land Rover. For life? Well , until I’m too old to enjoy them I guess. Never say never. I did buy and restore the 76 firebird last year ;). That was probably a bit of a nostalgia move. I had one as a young fella but had to sell it when I went to college. I’ve always wanted a 67 firebird ragtop but they’re way too much money for me. I have to rein in the spending a bit. Just blew 1300 bucks on 2 barrels of avgas. And that was my third trip to the tap this summer. And I still have to cover the mustang transmission when it’s done. I only budgeted for one divorce in my life and that was 20 years ago ;)

Man, you’ve lived and sounds like you live the life!

Easy on the money PA but not too easy, think you deserve some fun at this point. Making it past 60 in todays world and still in top health is achievement enough, just enjoy yourself.

I’m still trying to get used to living on a fixed income. Pay as an aircraft mechanic was never very good, but I worked a 4 days on 4 days off shift. I learned very early that if I wanted things it was going to take a lot of extra work. Between overtime and freelance work I rarely took the 4 days off during my entire career.
