I'm going russet on my Platon. I'm normally always seal, but on this occasion for some reason, russet is the only way to go imho. Platon seems to have russet Dubow's nailed good and proper.

Stanier, wise decision to go with russet. FWIW, I've never seen an original Dubow 27798 with seal color hides that wasn't a re-dye. Not to say one isn't out there, but all the ones I've handled were russet.

I’m probably a lone voice in the wilderness but the hide has the look of the steer G-1’s that had grain imprinted on them.

Oh boy, it sounds like you have a whole heap of reading on this site to do Mr Blue! A fair proportion of your questions have answers that lie in your personal preference. But good luck and get your order in!

Can you change your order Brettafett? Given the queue and delay it would be mindbogglingly bizarre and a bitter irony if they'd started yours!

I don't have any open orders.
I have not ordered another Platon Dubow, because I need a long, as much as Id love one.
I am tempted to order a russet A-2 from BK, but not pulled any triggers yet. Selling some bits & bobs, and will re-assess in a month or two.
I know the game, and already have enough jackets to keep me busy, so don't mind the wait for a russet. Then I really should retire lol

Me too. An A2 shorter than 26.5-27" for body length and sleeves is a nonstarter.
