I don't think I have seen so much handwringing...and no, the grain has nothing in common with a stamped steerhide G-1. As Silver Surfer stated, it is going to take some time to break in; I've gotten mine wet from rain and it is barely starting to just develop some creases and character. It is going to take some time as it should.

That's the best suggestion I have heard in this thread regarding this so called extended wait, which isn't much of a wait at all. I had the same 2 month wait for a jacket I had Vanson make for me earlier this year, and it was just a standard jacket they have but just don't offer in their line anymore.
