The last photo is of two US Navy pilots or more likely a pilot and enlisted gunner...and by the style of Mae Wests and the converted carrier deck crew helmets, probably late 1943 or into 1944. I liked seeing the helmet with the star design over the earphones....that was really neat.

They are for sure Navy pilots, that's a TBM behind them , I have seen thsi photo somewhere before but can not remember where , sorry . Johnny
Possibly a "Light " carrier or "Escort" carrier they had "Composite Squadrons of both F4F and TBM's usually , just a guess .

Thanks Marcel - I really like the painting of the Tuskagee pilot - imo it would have been a far better poster image than the existing photo-montage headache.
