Well, there are 2 ways:
1st: you can list it as an itemized personal property but you NEED an appraisal to determine the value. (it’s added as a separate amount to your homeowner’s policy)
2nd: you can set up a completely different policy... use the website collectinsure.com (BEST OPTION IMO)

Would love to hear about your dad , his service and any photos you might care to share. You could definitely find a wearable late model original A2 or a repro and have it patched a to represent a tribute jacket to your dad . Look around the forum and you will find several repros for sale as well as people who would make you a repro.
