Gents,
I have been out of US for a couple months now, putting a break on my posts but new finds have kept coming. Here we have a mint example from a Vietnam era G-1. Jackets in this condition are getting harder and harder.
What makes this one more attractive is the fact that comes from the scarce B series, one of the rarest of the spec 7823. This example was made by the prominent Ralph Edwards Sportswear under contract DSA-1-1040-63-C, which dates fiscal year, 1963.
The goatskin leather is superb. All parts are genuine to the jacket. Mouton collar is immaculate and shows a brown chocolate shade. Knits are pristine, which is extremely rare after these years. Blackened Conmar zipper works perfectly.
This contract fits perfectly, probably my next wearer.
