If you check Eastman’s manual it does state the 27798 was predominantly fitted with M-41 Crown no 5 zips but, M-40 Kwik ‘Fantail’ and M-41 Talon are also found on this contract! My own 27798 has a Crown.

Two different discussions. The zipper discussion is in reference to a Poughkeepsie A-2 that appeared from the same eBay seller as Zhi's Dubow.

I would agree with you Jan, as seen on Johns site the RW he has or had for sale with a Crown..this would be the first Poughkeepsie I have seen with a Crown but I am using a phone to look at it so can’t be sure it is original to the jacket or fitted later but absolutely your post makes total sense and as we know in this hobby, even now anomaly are still being thrown up
