These have spring loaded heavy duty zipper pulls. USA made from the 1940s. On USAAF walnut brown cotton tape. Hard to find!

currently, there is a guy on eb uk that is selling a full ? length early chromed crown zipper. his -her asking price is $369 plus shipping. the ones noted by royal crown are shorties of the zinc type. the zinc crowns are the third iteration of the spring loaded chevron crowns circa 1942. if for nothing else, the puller is worth what the seller is asking for on those zinc shorties. gary uses repro crowns on his elc jackets. he may have had them made to order, as the tape and construction seem different from those made in japan. getting repro crowns from japan is just about as easy as getting one from gary, not. original usable, full length crown zippers is becoming damn near impossible for anything less then an arm and a leg. although, i seem to remember that marcel landed one a few years ago for less then $100......so, all is not lost if you are at the right place, at the right time, with cash in hand.
