The contract number is partly obscured by the fleece in your photo, but the style of the label looks like the no name 42-21700p contract. Perry had one contract with their name on it in 1942, the 42-12689-P. So how do you figure it was made by Perry?
i do not have the jac with me at this time, but i looked up the contract # in the "gear up" book, and it was attributed to perry. i will recheck at the end of the week.
Geesh when I got out of the service I was a 38 weighed 135lbs and was fast as lightning. Then I got out
of college and fell in with weight lifters here in the navy and the last time I could wear a 40 was a long
time ago. Now I am 190, a 46 and faster than most garden snails.
I have two boys that are carbon copies of me physically (but got their mothers looks than God!!)
and they are trying to gain weight. I better tell them to knock it off and stay in the 38-40 range if
they ever want to buy a vintage American Forces jacket.
