THAT is an incredible jacket and story. Nice docs too. Man, if I were a wealthier man, I'd buy that for my son.
The goat is beautiful, and I'd love to see a pic of the wind flap to see if it's the three-piece type.
Someone will be lucky to get that one.

It is a single piece wind flap.

The vendor has some photo's on Ink Frog, this one shows the inside of the wind flap.

Very cool! Great jacket! If it was a combat squadron vs ferrying, I would be all over it.... even though I'm technically not buying any more. :lol:
I love clean jackets with good, crisp photos of them being worn.

No. The 23377 contract probably never had any 3-piece wind-flaps fitted.

According to the Eastman book, 3-piece wind flaps can be found on some jackets of the
Perry 16175 contract.

my original goat 23377 perry does, in fact have a 3 piece inside wind flap. i had a hh 16175 that did not. garys book, though very informative, and the most complete of all a-2 references, does not always deal with the anomalies found from contract to contract, or anomalies found within the same contract. i use the book as a reference, and identification, as stated in the title.

That is interesting to know. It is the first time I have come across any reference to the
23377 contract having some 3-piece wind flap jackets.

What a beautiful jacket. If it was a 44 i would probably be owning my first original. It is great to finally see a original A2 on ebay that doesnt look like it has been ran over by a truck or has had zipper,lining and knits replaced and no spec tag.
